SUNSET, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 – MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2022
This year, the first of the 7th month begins at sunset on Sunday, September 25th. In the Bible it is called “The Day of Shofar Sounding”; “The Day of Blowing” (Yom Tru’ah) or the “Feast of Trumpets.” It is a reminder “to be ready”, “to be on the alert” because the Kingdom of God is coming. This begins the special 7th Month Festivals leading to Yom Kippur beginning Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at sundown and Sukkot beginning on October 9, 2022 at sundown. The body of Fellowship will have a special teaching for “Trumpets” on Sunday morning, Sept. 25 at 10:30 AM, then a celebration on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM reviewing the significance of the festival, followed by musical offerings from the youth of Fellowship Church. Yom Tru’ah signifies the gathering together of the Church to Messiah – not to heaven but to Jerusalem at the coming of the Lord for the coronation of THE KING. If you have a shofar (ram’s horn), feel free to bring it along as we will sound the shofars (shōˈfrōt) together on this evening. Bring a dish to share at the special Oneg following the celebration. Hope to see you there!
