We will gather as a body for a Yom Kippur service at 7:30 PM on Wednesday evening, September 19th. We will fast as a congregation from Tuesday evening until Wednesday evening when we’ll come together for worship and reflection. The Scriptures state it is a day to “humble our souls” (Lev. 23: 32). The 7th month festivals begin on Sunday evening (Sept. 9) with The Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), followed by Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) 10 days later, and will end with Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). The days between Trumpets and Yom Kippur initiate a process of reflection for the body to consider what the Lord has shown us to do, and will lead to the consecration of ourselves to these assignments on Yom Kippur. Please ensure that you are a part of this important service. If you need additional information, please see Pastor Roger Diaz.
