SATURDAY, MAY 27 FROM 7:00-10:00 PM
The Festival of Shavu’ot (Pentecost) is one of Seven Biblical Festival Holidays. Each Festival teaches us God’s plan of redemption for the whole world and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth. Shavu’ot celebrates the beginning of the wheat harvest in the land of Israel which continues throughout the summer and ends with Sukkot in the fall. Come and join us for both our Shavuot Celebrations on May 27th at 7:00 p.m., and our worship service on Sunday, May 28th at 10:30 a.m.
On Saturday night, the fun begins at 7:00, just before sunset. Our outdoor basketball court will be transformed into a dance floor lined with string lights! What kind of dance? Hebraic folk dance – all ages are welcome. Our guest instructors are, Bobby Quibodeaux and Pat Henderson, who lead the Orlando International Folk Dance Club. There will be finger foods, beverages, a shofar (ram’s horn) blowing workshop, and even a scavenger hunt. We’ll have a photo booth, too! So come dressed for a frontier harvest with jeans, boots, cowboy hats and bandanas.
We are located at 5340 Red Bug Lake Road, Winter Springs, FL. Any questions, call 407.699.1011.
“But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me.” –Ruth 1:16-17
