SUNDOWN, DECEMBER 18, 2022 – DECEMBER 26, 2022 AT SUNDOWN
The eight day festival of Hanukkah (חנוכה) will begin this year at sundown on December 18th (25th of Kislev). The joyous festival is also known as the “Feast of Dedication” or “The Festival of Lights”. It is a time to remember God’s intervention on behalf of His people, Israel, in the struggle against humanism, and to remember that He can intervene on their (and our) behalf today.
Therefore, this year at Hanukkah, we invite you, as followers of Messiah Jesus, to light the Hanukkah Menorah along with our Jewish friends. Let us join them not only as a memorial to the victory of the Maccabees over the Greeks and the miracle of the re-dedication of the Temple, but also looking forward to God’s ultimate victory over humanism in the whole world.
See the post “Hanukkah Delight 2022” for our plans for this year’s celebration.
