The Fifth Annual Sukkot Celebration will be presented at Fellowship Church on Wednesday evening, the 11th of October at 7:30 p.m. and again on Friday evening the 13th at Melbourne First Assembly of God at 7:00 p.m.
In Deuteronomy 16:13-14, God commands His people to rejoice in the Feast of Booths, a seven-day festival commemorating His provision in the wilderness. For believers in Messiah Jesus, it also looks forward to a time when He will reign from His Holy Mountain and “…ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew saying, “Let us go with you (to Jerusalem at Sukkot), for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zech. 8:23) There is even evidence to suggest that Jesus’ birth may have coincided with this festival and not the December 25th date traditionally celebrated by the church.
The program will include new arrangements of traditional “Christmas Carols” as well as original choral works reflecting God’s purpose for mankind as revealed in the Feast of Tabernacles and elsewhere in the Holy Scriptures. Mark your calendar, invite your friends and come celebrate with us!
For questions or directions, please call the church office at 407-699-1011
We will be having a simple time of refreshment afterwards in our Fellowship Hall. Church members are asked to help make this event “noteworthy” by bringing something special for Oneg such as simple finger foods like fruit, cheese, cookies and drinks.
